July is Parks and Recreation Month

July is National Parks and Recreation Month and Franklin County Public Health along with several local Parks and Recreation departments are encouraging you to discover your local parks!  This summer, we want you to help us highlight the undiscovered gems of your local parks while being active and enjoying the outdoors.

From July 1 to October 31, 2018, visit each of the parks listed on the passport to gather all of the unique code words. You will find the code word displayed at the park information stand. Write that code word under the matching park on your passport. The code words will then spell out a sentence. Those who submit a completed passport will receive a prize!

And don't forget to use the hashtags #DiscoverJuly and #Passport2Exploration if you post your park adventures on social media.
